Charitybuzz have partnered with Levi Leipheimer to auction an autographed RadioShack branded race leader’s podium jersey from the 2011 Tour of Utah. The auction will benefit the Stiller Foundation.
Leipheimer rode to victory during this year’s Tour of Utah, and now the winning bidder can own a part of this memorable 2011 race. Bidding is open now through Tuesday, November 29; all proceeds go to benefit the Stiller Foundation.
This past October, Levi Leipheimer orchestrated and rode in the second King Ridge GranFondo charity cycling event, also in support of the foundation.
Charitybuzz, an online charity auction house, have teamed with Leipheimer for the auction, in order to raise funds and awareness for childhood education through Stiller’s foundation.
The Stiller Foundation launched in 2010 after Ben Stiller, the actor and foundation namesake, took life changing trips to Africa and Hati in 2009, during which he witnessed some of the world’s gravest poverty. The Stiller Foundation have a goal of helping children reach their full potential by promoting education, and wellbeing worldwide through initiatives that focus on education.
Leipheimer signed the jersey, which will benefit the Stiller Foundation
Over the last year the Stiller Foundation have focused on improving education in Haiti in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake in Port Au Prince. The Stiller Foundation have teamed with the Architecture for Humanity on a project dubbed the Haitian School Initiative to rebuild damaged and construct new schools in the country.
The Stiller Foundation was founded from the initial concept of StillerStrong, the actor’s initial campaign, which funded the Cévérine School in the central plateau of Haiti.
