There’s been plenty of talk about it and now it’s official. Canyon Bicycles Australia and New Zealand has gone live (online).

As mentioned previously in our Canyon Bicycles FAQ, the bikes will be shipping direct from Klobenz in Germany to customer doors in Australia and New Zealand. All pre and post sale customer support will be handled from Canyon’s Australian offices in Melbourne.

Getting her order in before anyone else, we would like to congratulate Claudia Kirk of Canberra on winning our AU$5,000 Canyon bike competition! Out of all the bikes in Canyon’s range, Claudia chose the 2016 Spectral CF 9.0 EX. With 27.5in wheels, look out for this 130mm carbon trail bike ripping up the trails of Canberra.

"I couldn't look past this bike when cruising the website. I chose the Spectral as the style of bike will perfectly suit the type of riding I plan to do. Being a local Canberra girl, I have easy access to Stromlo / Majura Pines and Thredbo (for cheeky day trips), plus it's a carbon frame and fitted with SRAM and RockShox parts – therefore it was a no-brainer (plus the colour – stealth - looks awesome)!" Claudia said of her soon-to-arrive Canyon.

"I'll be able to get the bike almost instantly, therefore I can hit the trails this summer, and will be used to my bike before all the swooping magpies start up again. Haha. But seriously, I hate them," she joked.

Cyclingnews and BikeRadar would like to thank all those that entered in this competition – and well as Canyon for supplying the prize.
