Adidas has released details of what it claims to be the lightest cycling jersey ever made. Tipping the scales at a claimed 65g, the £120 adiZero summer jersey will be available from June.
The weight conscious adiZero is made from quick-drying lightweight mesh materials and includes a full length cam-lock zip, which is the lightest available from Japanese zip manufacturer YKK. Stretchable fabric is used at the shoulder and arm areas of the jersey to ensure the best fit, while the front of the garment benefits from a windproof panel.
In keeping with the rest of its cycling range, Adidas is launching the adiZero in a light blue colour. BikeRadar is expecting a delivery of an adiZero jersey very soon so keep your eyes peeled for more (including an actual weight).
That's an expensive experiment if ever we've seen one…
