UK mountain bike racer Will Longden will be riding for Lapierre in 2009, after several years racing and managing the MBUK/BikeRadar team.
Longden has won three British mountain bike titles and two National Point Series titles. He’s competed in the past 15 World Championships for Great Britain, more than any other rider.
He said: “Managing a team and racing has been a great challenge but it will be nice to have time to myself at races to train, have fun with friends and then focus one hundred percent on my own performance come race day.”
The bikes he’ll be riding this year will be the DH920 downhill machine, the Airzone for 4X racing and the Froggy 518 for endurance downhill events.
“The Lapierre bikes are awesome and after a few test rides I’m confident they will really compliment the way I ride,” said Longden.
Lapierre's UK distributor Hotlines will be at the Bike Demo Days where you can take a ride with Will Longden and try out the Lapierre bikes for yourself.
