UK firm Stanton Bikes have released a new 4X specific frame, the latest addition to their currently expanding range of hardtails. Known simply as the 4X, the new model is in stock now and retails for £375.
Designed in collaboration with UK national 4X champion and Stanton-sponsored rider Luke Limbrick, the idea was to create a snappy handling, smooth and confidence-inspiring ride.
The 4X is constructed from double-butted 4130 chromoly steel, chosen for its inherit damping qualities. Externally braced 400mm (15.75in) chainstays have been chosen to minimise flex and provide efficient power transfer.
Further back, the 4X gets cowled dropouts that house a replaceable derailleur hanger. It's well detailed too – the top tube gusset and head tube both get neat CNC detailing with the Stanton logo. Stock is now landing – available in one size, the 4X can be finished in a raw clear coat or gloss black. Check out the promo video below for a closer look.
