The 100% Aircraft full-face helmet now comes with a MIPS layer to help deal with rotational forces, should you whack your head into the floor.
At 1,140g it’s a competitive weight and, thanks to 25 vents and extensive internal channelling, there’s decent enough airflow to stop you getting too clammy or your goggles misting up even on warm and muggy days.
The field of vision is good too, and while the adjustable peak is long, it can be pushed high enough out of the way that you don’t see it when looking down the trail.
On a 57cm head, the fit of the medium helmet is just the right side of snug, with no pressure points or movement. In fact, the soft padding helps make it one of the comfier full-face lids out there — until the strap is done up.
While it uses my preferred double D-ring closure, the strap is set a little further back than on some other helmets. This means it feels quite tight on your lower jaw and upper neck, although this does become less pronounced over time.
The padding around the strap has a tendency to slip out of the way while fastening too, which can lead to a little discomfort if not addressed straight away.
