Mountain bike action in the Atlas Mountains

Dropping in from the roof of Africa on his VooDoo Zobop, Rob Jarman’s a man on a mission. Starting at over 3,200m, he tackles flat-out descents on punishing rough tracks, singletrack lined with tyre-slashing rocks and lowland trails with cactus and other hostile shrubbery.

The 45km ride is made even tougher by some long stretches of road and the thick-skinned tyres he's running to resist punctures – although slowing to take in some incredible scenery and culture makes for an exciting journey.

Rob took on this incredible ride through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech for the first in a new series of VooDoo Challenges for Mountain Biking UK magazine. You can check him out in action below. Read issue 261 of MBUK – due in shops on Wednesday, but subscribers should receive their copy any time soon – for the full story.
