Built from fibreglass and expanded polystyrene, our Drop helmet from Bell weighs in at 1,002g. The internal pads are removable for washing, as are the cheek pads. This makes the fit a little less claustrophobic, increases air flow, and helmet stability is still okay without them.
Visibility is excellent. None of the inside edge of the face cutaway is visible when using goggles.
The visor is adjustable for height, and doing so is easy. Metal dials hold things in place.
The lower vents have debris mesh but the only other vents on this lid are tucked away behind the visor. They are rather small so it does tend to get warm in there once you’ve stopped moving.
Our test version came with Crest decals, which look sort-of custom, but sort-of generic. There is a matt black version available, as well as other colour options with more traditional blocky decals.
