The Charge Knife is essentially a slimmed-down version of the company's excellent-value Spoon saddle. With titanium alloy rails and a lower profile shell, it’s impressively light for the money. Some of the weight has been lost in the padding, though, and the Knife is distinctly firmer than the Spoon.
The rails have quite short straight sections which in theory limits adjustability, but unless you usually have your saddle set at an extreme of adjustment, that won't trouble you. There are no fancy cutouts or channels on the Knife, it's just a reassuringly simple saddle.
It's available in black as well as high-maintenance white, both of which have a dirt-trapping perforated synthetic cover. At twice the price of its Spoon brother, the Knife isn't quite as compelling a value-for-money proposition, but it stacks up well against the competition.
