Superb lightweight fork, but pricey. Has to prove it’s durable

DT’s cross-country/marathon fork has a maximum rider weight of 95kg (210lb). Our 470mm (axle centre to crown top) test fork was a few grams heavier than the claimed 595g, and that feathery weight comes from an almost complete carbon composite construction.

Post mounts are a bonus on the magnesium dropouts and there’s a well-placed hose guide. Fork offset is only 41mm, which may result in nervous steering if a frame has a steep head angle. The ride quality is superb – better in vibration damping than any other rigid fork we’ve tested.
