Very weatherproof – great for offroad or casual riding

Before anyone moans, you can buy this jacket in blue as well as black. Reflectives are minimal though: a strip of piping around the middle.

It’s an over-the-head design that Paramo classes as multi-activity, cut low at the back, with long sleeves, a drawcord hem to keep draughts out, cuffs adjustable with Velcro, and two zipped openings at the front for venting. It also has a roll-away hood.

Pocket provision isn’t great: a front pouch and an internal pocket/handwarmer you can only reach y unzipping the vents, but performance is excellent: it’s light and soft, and the Nikwax Analogy Light fabric is waterproof and breathable. Which is why it’s the one we’ve been opting to wear on really cold days, whether crisp and dry or wet and windy.
