Sublime is the word that came up most often to describe the Chinook, which, even though it’s the Dutch company’s circuit-racing bike, manages to serve up an excellent balance of speed and comfort.
We actually reckon it’s more of a climber’s bike than a sprinter’s machine, because when you pull really hard on the handlebar there is some flex. What this is really ideal for is long, comfortable rides and this could make the perfect sportive machine.
We love the Fortezza Tri Comp tyres too; the file-tread is ideal for slimy road surfaces – salty, a bit wet, dirt, oil – normal British roads. (Note: price can change with the exchange rate.)
