Fork crown fitting guards that offer more front wheel coverage than the simpler down tube style are getting more popular - but make sure that your fork crown a) has a hole in to take the ?tting (some newer ones don't), and b) that it's large enough.
Once you've done that, this is a piece of cake to fit, needing only one Allen key and that's supplied. Once setup, a bracket stays in place under the fork and the guard slides easily off and on. There's a bit of movement between the bike/bracket join, but that aside, we were surprised by the coverage this gave. A relatively short front wheel guard made a big difference to the mud factor. Our only real gripe is that it's not the prettiest we've ever seen, but that's probably a re?ection of the value price point.
