As the name suggests, Endura’s BaaBaa jersey is made from 100 percent merino wool – a fabric renowned for its high breathability, warmth when wet and odour-fighting properties.
The top instantly feels very soft and warm against the skin, and on the bike it wicks moisture well, with rucksack sweat patches on your back drying quickly as soon as you stop for a break.
Detailing is excellent, with Lycra/merino mesh ventilation panels under the armpits and at the top of the back, a ¾-length zip, a drop tail, a zipped side pocket on the rear big enough for a phone, wallet or keys, and an internal microfibre sunglasses wipe.
The look is stealthy, with just a small BaaBaa logo on one arm, and the top is available in five sizes and three colours (black, grey and red). It works well as a jersey or, under a jacket, as a base layer.
Our only complaint with this excellent top is that the neck is a little high when fully zipped up – it hits your chin when you’re leant over the bike and feels awkward despite the fabric chin guard. It also feels a little too snug around the Adam’s apple.
