The Chromium is a good value jacket, if a little on the bulky side

A waterproof packed with features, the Polaris Chronium may compromise compactness but not performance.

The Chromium jacket comes with fully taped seams that seal the Hydrovent Active waterproof material. It’s not as breathable as some, but the price reflects this.

While there’s no waterproof front zip, the Chromium has a Velcro double front flap to help keep rain out. It comes with neck and waist draw cords, too.

Polaris has added underarm waterproof zips to improve ventilation, along with a mesh liner to combat any problems with inner moisture.

The trade-off here is added bulk, which means you’ll struggle to get it in a pocket, although it won’t overload your backpack.
