Not as versatile as you’d hope for the price

The City Biker is a stylish waterproof bag, available in four colours and with more modern, courier-chic looks than most panniers.

Designed to appeal to urban cyclists, students and commuters transporting light loads, it fastens to a rack with Quick-Lock2 hook attachments.

A broad and comfortable shoulder strap makes it as convenient to carry off the bike as on, and this stows away beneath a Velcro tab inside when the bag is fastened to the bike. On top of this, the Velcro secured flap lid seals the bag well for waterproof protection.

The volume is 10L and it’ll take a couple of A4 folders or a 13.3in (or smaller) laptop – but that’s pretty much it for capacity, making it a little on the small side to be genuinely versatile.

Also, the bag doesn’t secure to the rack at the bottom, so there’s the slight worry of it banging against the struts, though the back of the bag is lightly stiffened. Ortlieb do a padded case as an optional extra, but it’s not ideal.
