RockyMounts has a new, low-profile, roof rack system, which combines the Ouray Crossbar and Flagstaff Towers to offer a quieter, more fuel-efficient transportation method for bikes and skis, the company says. The Flagstaff Towers mount to most vehicle’s factory roof rails.
RockyMounts is headquartered in Boulder, Colorado. Named after two of the staff’s favorite outdoor destinations, the Flagstaff and Ouray are designed to be used together, but are compatible with other combinations of RockyMounts base rack systems, and will be sold separately.
The Ouray Crossbar is made with a black anodized aluminum and will be available in five lengths from 44 to 60in for US$149.
The Flagstaff Towers mount to virtually any raised factory or aftermarket side-rails, regardless of size or shape, RockyMounts claims. The Towers can lock to the vehicle's side rails with RockyMounts lock core (sold separately). The Flagstaff will retail for US$179.
The RockyMounts Ouray Crossbar and Flagstaff Towers will be available in June.
