Strange looks mask genuine high performance

The Mantra is almost as long as Fizik's Arione, but the San Marco saddle's curved shape is more suited to endurance riding than flat-backed racing.

The slab sided wings and deep, flat sided nose provide plenty of leg clearance when you're going hard. The huge 180mm long cutout is there to relieve potential pressure points, but it also serves to make the wings flex individually – making the Mantra a super comfortable saddle over longer distances.

The rounded and deeply padded 100mm nose section tapers down towards its tip so, unlike with most curved profile saddles, it's possible to shift up onto the nose when climbing or pressing on on the flat, time trial-style.
